Innovation in relocation

Since launching, Icon has been an early adopter of technology to increase our operational efficiencies and the service to our customers, whilst also supporting our sustainable development policy.

e-Procurement

We are able to support our clients e-procurement initiatives by accepting instructions over the web direct to our internal case management system via a secure online portal (we can also send instructions to our suppliers in the same way). Equally, our internal database system can be accessed by our clients and relocating employees via an encrypted password, to view on-going case information and run a range of standard reports.

Online Relocation Guide

Icon was involved at an early stage in the development of Online Relocation Guides to support group moves and more general recruitment initiatives, and these remain one of our most popular products. Our UK Relocation Guide covers over 250 locations within the UK today, and can be tailored exactly to our clients requirements in terms of content and branding, and linked to clients intranets if required.

Online Property Search System

Icon is currently trialling a new online property search system, which is designed to support the circa. 90% of employees who relocate without formal relocation assistance. The system will provide a full property search service via a secure web portal, providing a detailed itinerary to support the employees housing and schooling requirements.

Online Cultural Guide

We are developing an online destination and cultural guide to 35 countries, to be available in 8 languages. Designed to complement our international relocation management service, and our existing UK Relocation Guide in feel and content, the cultural guide is an essential resource for employees and their families wishing to quickly understand and adapt to life in a different country.
